2024: Wellbeing and aging
We’ve learned a lot about wellbeing over the past four years. In fact, we’ve redefined it. We better understand that wellbeing isn’t a static state. It’s an ever-changing landscape we travel as we age. We now look for resources to help us move to the next life stage. Age-friendly communities, a solid social circle, a strong body, and a sense of purpose.
These are the foundations of wellbeing that I’ve studied for many years. And now I’m in that life stage I once studied from afar. It’s mystical and challenging and a bit overwhelming, but the opportunity to further explore this chapter is exciting. I hope you’ll join me.
Here I share Wellbeing perspectives from 15+ years of wellness work and 60+ years of real life experiences. You’ll also find Health Education articles from my doctoral work on midlife women and wellbeing.
Finally, you’ll find stories about midlife on my blog, My Own Lane. Because it’s time to tell ours. About life and aging. Laughter and love. Tears and trials. What’s working, what’s not, and what we’ve learned along the way.
